Welcome to 2019

We had a great 2018. Started with the Nutrition seminar which had rave reviews. Then we went to Springfield, MO to the Ozark Spring Fling to promote our beloved Morgan breed. The youth group again ran the Kids’ Korral sponsored by MFA. Many of our members had great show seasons and just lots of fun with their Morgan horses. The youth group had a visit with St. Louis Mounted Police, ran a Ride A Thon. Did a Service Project for St. Clair Saddle Club’s Camp Quality. We took a tour of Helping Hands and Horses when we presented their check from the Ride A Thon. The group then had a play horse show in September. We almost had a Trail Obstacle Learn, Play, Compete day. It was cancelled due to really rough weather.

Congratulations to Robert and Pat Parton for their horse’s (Alls well in Monte Carlo) STAR horse honors. Vallys Pilliod’s CAUM May Flower also received STAR horse honors.

Our club started a new program this last year. We call it our “FUN” program. This program is open to all members. All participants are guaranteed winners. All you have to do is record what fun you do with a registered Morgan. The only activities that do not qualify is cleaning stalls and feeding horses. Yes, petting and grooming count. Sign up by July 1. Record your activities, get them verified by anyone who saw you and send it to Val Pilliod by Nov. 1. Trainers do not qualify. Winners for 2018 were; Leah Hargis, Linda Mercer, Katherine Hargis and Diane Walker.
